I'm not working this hard...

I'm not working this hard to be the same person I was last year. - Anonymous

Happy Spring!! It was a cold Winter, at least in Michigan, but Spring is finally here to stay. As you know, April marks the beginning of the second quarter. Let's start fresh! It might not have been what you wanted, but there's no use crying over spilled milk. Let's be grateful for what we accomplished this far. Be grateful for the start of the second quarter and even better, a new season, Spring!

Today's Inspirational Quote is an anonymous one, but that makes it all the more real in my opinion. I feel this way because it's so simple you or I could have said it!

What a simple but wonderful thought, right! At the beginning of each year we make goals and resolutions to be better people. Sometimes they stick and sometimes they don't. Either way, each day is a new chance to start over. Every day you have the power to...

Replace Fear With Curiosity

Uncategorized Mar 23, 2019
Good Morning inspiration seekers, today we have a 2 in 1! The short version of our quote is very inspiring all on its own. It's straight to the point, and as they say it, "Keep It Short & Simple." So let’s get to it!!!

Have you ever been afraid of some event that was coming up? Maybe it wasn't an event but a new chapter that you were starting like a business, a new job or career opportunity, or writing a book. Have you ever wondered why you feared it?

Maybe you wondered what it would be like if you were totally excited about this new transition in your life. Well, you can't change how you felt back then. However, you can use this quote to change how you look at your next adventure.

Today our quote is: "Replace fear of the unknown with curiosity!" by Penelope Ward, American Author

I know normally curiosity is not the opposite of fear, but what if it were? What if instead of being afraid you were curious as to what this new event would bring. Since we...

The Power to Change the World is Already Inside of You!

Uncategorized Mar 17, 2019

Let's put on our imagination hats for a moment. Ready? Let's go!

JK Rowling is one of the most famous female fantasy writers of our day. She wonderfully wove the tales of Harry Potter, enchanting an entire generation of youth with the possibilities of magic. However, ironically she once said, "We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better!"

I think that sometimes we forget about the power that we each have inside. It is an infinite resource that all we have. To benefit from it, we must reach down deep inside and tap into it. It does not require a magic wand, spell or incantation. Although it may help to have a positive and inspiring mantra that you say daily.

Did you ever contemplate that you have the power inside of you to change the world? Maybe you have and maybe you haven’t. If you have, congratulations on believing in yourself! But if you haven't considered this, consider the possibility...

Life's most persistent question...

Uncategorized Jan 21, 2019
Today is a wonderful day! It’s the day we celebrate a man that changed the course of US History. Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. This courageous man fought tirelessly with words, not violence, to make sure that everyone in the US was treated equally no matter the race.

Although he was not able to see his dream realized, he never stopped fighting. Today’s quote is one of his most famous,

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”

This is such an important question that we need to not only ask ourselves on this day but every day. Service of others is not limited to certain days or weeks of the year.
It is also not limited to certain people or certain groups. The wonderful thing about serving others is that it can be done at any time or at any place. It isn’t just about feeding the homeless (although that is a wonderful way of serving), it could also be something as simple as...

Healthy Habits During the Holidays

Uncategorized Dec 22, 2017

Once again, the holidays are upon us. Where did the year go? If you’re like many people this year, your year has gone by quicker than most. Was it the unseasonably warm, early spring, the hotter than normal temperatures, or just the fact that we are busier than we’ve ever been, in spite of technology (which was meant to simplify our lives)?

Now that the holidays are here, we’ll likely have less and less opportunity to just sit back, relax, and take a load off of our aching feet, not to mention less time to exercise, prepare healthy food choices, and, unless you haven’t added anything else to your proverbial plate this year, you are among many who bit off more than they could chew...again.

“So, is there hope for me yet,” you ask? The answer is a resounding, yes! There is always hope, my friend. There are some simple steps to follow to ensure healthy habits during the holidays. Just as with any challenge, you have to know your opponent if you want...

Taking a personal time out (yes, you can do that!).

Uncategorized Dec 22, 2017

Even as adults we all need time outs. I for one look forward to them after a long day of meetings, sitting all day writing, running errands to keep our household running (semi-)smoothly, or after traveling, whether for business or pleasure. In any case, I think time outs ROCK!

In today's world of, "I'd love to but... (fill it in with any reason why you're too busy, there are oodles of them!)", I often hear people say how they wish they had more time, time to visit, time to just sit and relax, time to watch a movie, time to eat a normal meal at an actual dining room table! Ahhh! Well here's the good news...we ALL have 24 hours in a day, and YOU control it. Although I must admit that even that seems like too little time in a day when I've got so many projects, clients, home to-do lists, and the like. Since we all have the same amount of time in a day, why is it that some can find time to do practically everything on their daily list and still have time to relax or hang out with...

I’ll be happy when…

Uncategorized Oct 01, 2017

If you’ve ever thought, or said out loud, “I’ll be happy when…”, then you’ve fallen into the happiness trap.
Because “when” will never come with a mindset of waiting on something or someone to make you happy.
The truth is, in spite of your circumstances, in spite of your income, in spite of your living conditions, YOU can be happy TODAY.
“How can you say that, Wendy? You don’t know my circumstances!”
Well, I was once one of those people who said that…until one day when I became determined to be happy, no matter what.
I realized that happiness is an inside job. It begins in your mind.
I’ve studied happiness for decades, along with putting the knowledge into action. It’s amazing what some wisdom can do when properly applied.
Being happy didn’t come naturally, nor was it freely taught to me.
Would you believe that most people who would not consider themselves happy, have actually CHOSEN not to be happy?...

In Darkness There Is Light

Uncategorized Oct 01, 2017

There comes a time in everyone’s life.

When darkness reigns and we can’t see the light.

This is the time that can lead us astray.

Don’t let this darkness take you away.

Away from the light that brightens the dark.

You never need worry that you don’t have the spark.

The spark that ignites the light from above.

This light will not leave you and provides everlasting love.

Christ is the light that always is there.

Just know when you need Him He will ALWAYS be there.

You are His child whom He loves very much.

Just ask and He’ll give and you’ll feel His sweet touch.

The touch of His hand on your very heart.

So never give up…

Do your best

To make a fresh start…

It's Time!

Uncategorized Oct 01, 2017

If you’re in pain, physically or emotionally, it’s likely that you have past issues that you have been sweeping under the rug (which now looks more like a mountain) and hoping that no one will notice.

People do notice.  Your family notices.

They notice the smile that no longer is there.

They notice the once confident posture that has been gone for a while now.

They notice the quickness to anger at them, even though you’re truly angry with yourself.

They notice what feels like you don’t care for them, even though you love them very much.

They notice your body is there, but your mind is elsewhere; leaving them to believe you aren’t interested in their life, even though it’s the farthest from the truth.

Your family notices that you have so much potential, yet waste it on drugs or alcohol or sex to avoid dealing with your truth, your pain, your past.

IT’S TIME!

It’s time that YOU notice that you ARE loved.

It’s...
